Rebels net first win at BGM’s expense

BROOKLYN - The Gladbrook-Reinbeck girls basketball team earned its first win of the season on Saturday with a 44-41 win over BGM. The Rebels (1-2) trailed 20-19 at halftime but outscored the Bears (2-3) by four in the second half to take home the victory. Taylor Gienger had 15 points to pace G-R, while Reagan Skovgard followed with 11, Saari Kuehl had eight and Belen Ellenberger had seven. Kuehl had a team-high 12 rebounds, with Skovgard coming next with six, and Gienger also led the team with nine steals and three assists.
