More than thirty-five area women gathered to support the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation Healthcare Scholarship fund with a card party on April 6.
Together, the guests raised $1,300 for the scholarship program. In the photo, Mary Meyer of Aplington deals a hand of bridge. The card party has continued for more than ten years, supporting scholarships for students entering a variety of healthcare careers. Currently, 2017 Healthcare Career Scholarship applications are being accepted through May 31. The scholarship is open to healthcare students who graduated from high school or are presently working in Butler, Grundy, Hardin, or Tama county.
Applications may be found on the hospital's website, or by contacting Foundation staff at GCMH_Foundation@unitypoint.org.
