Agnes Koupal, 82, Reinbeck, died March 6 at Covenant Medical Center.

Lenore Nation, 78, Traer, died March 4 at Allen Hospital.

Fred Viering, 59, Gladbrook, died March 3 at Marshalltown Medical Center.

Mr. & Mrs. Mitch Salsburg are parents of a son born March 10.

Bonnie Willer will celebrate her 90th birthday on March 22.

Jean Portz, Davenport & David Stephan will be married May 31.


MARCH 19, 1987

Delta Industries, formerly of New Hartford, will relocate in Reinbeck as they need more room for the business.

A former Reinbeck car dealer, James Denning, was given a deferred prison sentence after his conviction on a charge of first degree theft.

Walter Tomlinson, 84, died March 15 in Waterloo.

Mrs. Arthur Gardner, 85, died in Waterloo.

Robert Isenhower accepts the position as boys basketball coach at Reinbeck High School after three years in being absent from coaching.

Lucille Ryan, 77, Reinbeck, died March 11.

Dorothy Buchanan, 70, Waterloo, formerly of Grundy Center, died March 6 of a heart attack.

Esther Engelkes, 67, Grundy Center, died March 3.

Mr. & Mrs. Ron Johnson are parents of a son born March 8.

Mr. & Mrs. Robin Folkerts are parents of a daughter born March 9.

Mr. & Mrs. Steve Wical, Grundy Center, are parents of a daughter born March 12.

Mr. & Mrs. David Keith are parents of a daughter born March 17.


MARCH 24, 1977

Reinbeck Fire Dept. will purchase a second emergency-ambulance unit.

LuAnn Reinicke, Dike, & Jerry Jones, Reinbeck, were married om March 19.

Lynn Wilkinson was named 1977 Reinbeck FFA sweetheart.


MARCH 23, 1967

Cathy Paulsen, Kathy Richter, Curt Schneider and Bruce Thede won I's at State speech contest held on March 18.

Nine Reinbeck students competed in State Speech contest in Mason City. II's were won by Sandy Keith, Pat Petersen, Randy Ohrt, Janet Ballard & Jo Frahm.

John Hartrung, Reinbeck High school football coach & track coach has resigned his position.

Audrey Blackford, 64, died March 21 of coronary attack.
